I work mostly in watercolour as I find it a wonderful and exiting medium because of its slight unpredictability and the surprising effects that can be achieved, sometimes purely by accident. - However I also like to experiment with other and mixed media such as pastels, ink and acrylics.
I am inspired by the natural world, be it a beautiful scenery, reflections in a still lake, atmospheric effects such as light and shade, rain after sun, a moody sky or the delicacy and pure colours of flowers -
